Meet Coach Roy

Roy Lee joins Podio as assistant coach from Shoreline College. With over a decade of coaching experience and three decades as a player across all positions, he brings experience, passion, and discipline to the coaching staff.

A seasoned veteran of the volleyball community, Roy continues to play and organize adult volleyball — both grass and indoor — leagues and tournaments when he’s not coaching.

While technical in his approach, Roy also brings an analytical, problem-solving mindset to his methods, helping athletes grow not just their physical skills, but their mental fortitude and ability to think through the game. 

When he is not playing or coaching volleyball, Roy enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys (a college freshman and an 8th grader), traveling, enjoying concerts, playing video games and board games, and hanging out with his dog, Cloud.
