Meet Coach Dan

Coach Dan Le enters his ninth year of coaching volleyball in the Pacific Northwest and is excited to join the Podio Volleyball Club family. Throughout his coaching journey, Dan has coached athletes in both indoor and beach volleyball across multiple club programs and spent the past two seasons as an assistant coach at Shoreline Community College.

Dan believes volleyball is more than a sport—it's an opportunity to help young athletes become confident, resilient problem solvers. His coaching philosophy is rooted in empowering athletes to think for themselves by providing the tools, experiences, and guidance to find consistent solutions on and off the court. Rather than giving players every answer, he challenges them to adapt, communicate, and take ownership of their growth.

Guided by the principles of ecological dynamics, Dan creates fast-paced, game-like practices that encourage decision-making, exploration, and learning through competition. His goal is to develop athletes who are not only skilled volleyball players, but also thoughtful teammates, leaders, and lifelong learners.

Dan earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Washington, where he played on the men's club volleyball team. He often reflects on his own journey as an athlete, sharing, "I wasn't naturally gifted—everything came through focused, intentional effort." That experience continues to shape his belief that meaningful growth comes from embracing challenges with curiosity and persistence.

Outside the gym, Dan enjoys playing chess, Tetris, and Pokémon, and values spending time with family and friends.
