Meet Coach Malina

Malina Baker joins Podio as the head coach for The Bush School’s Freshman and D1 Middle School volleyball teams. With 14 years of playing experience and one year of coaching, Malina brings energy, global experience, and a deep understanding of the game to every team she leads.

Her playing career includes competing internationally for teams in Australia and Singapore. Representing New South Wales at the state level, and earning a 5th-place finish at the Australian Junior Beach Championships. Malina went on to play DI beach volleyball at Arizona State University, as well as DI rugby, experiences that shaped her dynamic, team-first approach to coaching.

Malina is passionate about developing athletes with a strong foundation of skill, sportsmanship, and love for the game. Drawing from her rugby background, she emphasizes respect for opponents, defined player roles, integrity, and passion, creating a positive and competitive environment where athletes can grow both on and off the court.
